It is suggested that these are used as an additional treat for birds to peck at in the afternoon, rather than in place of a nutritionally balanced pellet. For optimum egg production and nutrition, no more than 20g per day (an eggcup full) of mixed corn should be fed per laying bird, when a nutritionally balanced diet such as Layers Pellets being fed ad lib.
