We want to let you know about an upcoming change to gas prices and, importantly, why it is happening.
Over recent weeks, wholesale energy markets have experienced significant volatility. This is largely linked to heightened tensions in the Middle East and concerns around shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical channel for global energy supply. When uncertainty affects this region, international energy markets react quickly. Supply concerns drive up wholesale costs, which in turn impacts LPG suppliers across the UK. As a result, our own cost of gas has increased.
Starting from 11th March 2026, a market volatility surcharge of £4.00 per cylinder (inc VAT) will be applied to gas bottle orders placed on or after this date.
We understand that price changes are never welcome. In line with our commitment to being open and transparent, we want to be clear that this adjustment reflects genuine increases in global wholesale costs rather than internal changes to our business.
Energy markets can move both ways and we are hopeful this will be a temporary situation. If supply conditions stabilise and wholesale costs reduce, we will reflect that accordingly in our pricing.
